One of the fastest growing themes for parties is “the casino night.” The theme is by no means new, but it has been growing over the past few years for both private parties and corporate events. The reasons for this growth are fairly simple; more casinos have opened in the US and casino specials are a staple on The Travel Channel and other networks. The internet has also played a major part in the growth of casino themed parties. Casino games are one of fastest growing video game segments. This includes social network games and apps. Even the long established online poker site PokerStars has expanded to meet the demand in this area.
Casino games are perfect for social interaction; the players in many games form a bond due to the fact that the table often wins or loses as a whole. Songs and Genres
As hackneyed as it appears, you really can’t go wrong with Viva Las Vegas right as the games begin, and whether you use the Elvis or ZZ Top version is a matter of personal taste. However, bear in mind the Elvis version works even for parties where most of those attending weren’t even born when Elvis was king. It’s just that the lyrics sum up the Las Vegas experience really well.

*This progressive bingo linked system will be operated at Palace Station Hotel & Casino, Boulder Station Hotel & Casino, Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino, Red Rock Casino-Resort-Spa and Green Valley Ranch-Resort-Spa-Casino (hereinafter the “Properties”). The progressive bingo linked system permits live broadcasting of the Station Casinos Jumbo Bingo Progressive Game (“bingo game”) activity from an individual property’s bingo room to each of the other Properties’ bingo rooms.
*The system’s control terminal will be located at Red Rock. At the first (1st) bingo game of each session, on or about 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 9:00p.m., and 11:00 p.m. the control terminal will activate and link all the Properties’ bingo rooms for a live broadcast of the bingo game. Each day a different Property will “host” the bingo game.

*The bingo rooms will be linked by live broadcast (televised video and audio) and by telephone call conferencing. A bingo agent will be at a desk in each of the bingo rooms monitoring the live broadcast and telephone. In the event of a malfunction the agent at that Property will alert the other Properties by telephone of the malfunction. The bingo game’s caller will then transmit to the other Properties that there is a malfunction at one of the Properties and the bingo game will be paused for a few moments to correct the malfunction.
*If the Electronic malfunction cannot be resolved within a few moments the Players with the malfunctioning Electronic Unit will be disconnected from the bingo game and will be issued a full refund for all wagers on the bingo game or given a replacement Electronic Unit. The bingo game will then resume.
*If the problem hasn’t been resolved by then the Property that had the malfunction will be disconnected from the bingo game and its players will be issued a full refund for all wagers on the Jumbo Progressive game. The bingo game will resume at the other Properties.
*The bingo game coverall number, prize amount and consolation prize amounts will be posted at each Property. The bingo game winner will be paid on the balls drawn only, not by the numbers on the display boards. The display boards are for the convenience of the players and are not the official game results.
*Any cards that are torn or mutilated in any way will not qualify as a valid card and will not be paid as a winner
*Regular Jumbo cards (3-on) will sell for $2 and the consolation will be $500. If the Jumbo Progressive Jackpot is won player(s) cannot collect the Consolation for that session. The Maximum of 50 Jumbo Bingo cards may be purchased in a session.
*In the event there is a winner in the designated amount of numbers the bingo game will bestopped and an Independent Supervisor will be called or verification.
*Only cards sold at the current session are eligible. Cards sold at previous sessions will be declaredvoid and will not be considered a winning card.

Now they face the same problem again.
The Safe Children Coalition rejected the board members’ proposal for a 3-month extension, they now need to raise $1.6 million dollars by March 31st.

“Safe children’s coalition presents an opportunity for a request to get an extension to purchase and sale option. They Evaluated and even though they didn’t have a formal board meeting they did an informal poll and said fundamentally they cannot go beyond those dates.” said Charlie Campbell who sits on the Save Our Y board.
Members tell say the possibility of the Y closing is just heartbreaking.
“I would be very very upset if they closed. It’s also a place being with other people. I have friends and then and women who come to the Y they are just wonderful.” says Jane Zeff.
Betty Kleinow says the Evalyn Sadlier Jones location has been her ’Y’ for the past 10 years and couldn’t imagine if it was gone
“I would have to go somewhere else. This is the most convenient, I live within 2 miles from here. All of the instructors here are absolutely so good.” said Kleinow.
On top of the March deadline, the Save Our Y needs to make an earnest payment of $500,000 by February 19th

A C14 signal/slot library. Part of a Functional/Reactive C Framework. The main goal is to offer a pure Standard based signal/slot library, that cover all the fundamental necessities of this concept. The C++ programming language is an amazingly capable beast. However, it is no panacea for all ills - it is just as possible to write spaghetti in this language as it is in any other (arguably easier than some).
C++ is usually described as an object-oriented language. Its claim to object orientation is generally appropriate, but unlike some other languages, C++ doesn’t actually enforce good practice. Whether or not you think this is a good thing or a bad thing is up to you, I’m not interested in starting a religious war here, so I’ll neatly sidestep the issue by changing the subject for a moment.
Flame me, flame me not
Before you lock & load your rocket launchers, folks, I’m using the MFC by way of example only. The signal/slot library is ISO C++ compliant (at least where possible) and will work on pretty much anything. All you need is a reasonable C++ compiler that supports templates. You don’t need partial template specialisation support, so VC6 and VC.NET are both fine.
The Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) are a nightmarish mess. I’ll say it again - the MFC is a programmer’s nightmare. At one point it almost inspired me to give up programming and take up something less irritating, like becoming a professional ’nut the javelin’ player or move to Outer Patagonia and become a cat wrangler. Nevertheless, the MFC is capable of supporting most things that you might want to do with the Windows platform, at the price of a little slice of one’s sanity.
There are two reasons why the MFC is so painful. Firstly, it too-often seems to require an uphill struggle in order to get the simplest things to work. Secondly, it is very difficult and/or evilly messy trying to get disparate classes within an MFC application to talk to each other. The former problem is down to the design of the MFC itself - only deep experience using it can really get around this. Hpcaslnotification has stopped working. The second problem is a consequence of the MFC being quite a thin wrapper around the underlying Windows SDK - getting one window to talk to another window often requires resorting to oldfashioned Windows 3.1 techniques like ::SendMessage() or ::PostMessage() with custom Windows messages. Yuck. That kind of code is difficult to write, difficult to debug, hard to maintain and generally speaking a Bad Idea.
Take a simple example. Imagine we want to create a dialog box, with a number displayed on it, and a couple of buttons which let you increment or decrement the number:
If you’re going to program the MFC way, you’d slap in that dialog to the dialog editor in Visual Studio, then add message handlers for the ’Increment’ and ’Decrement’ buttons that use the MFC’s DDX mechanism to update the number in the edit box. Easy enough you might think, but where’s the reusability? I signed up to the card-carring object orientation movement on the basis that it was supposed to make it easier to reuse my code, or to use components written by other people with a minimum of pain. The MFC way of working might as well be Visual Basic, requiring cut-and-paste code reuse. Evil, nasty, bad.
What, in circumstances like this, I’d really like to be able to do is turn the numeric edit control and the increment/decrement buttons into genuinely reusable components in their own right. By component, I don’t mean COM object or Active-X control, just a simple, lightwight, reusable C++ class.Slots Library Las Vegas
The MFC way of doing this, reasonably enough, would be to inherit from the basic controls (CEdit and CButton in this example), then give those classes a common interface of some kind. You might, sensibly enough, add a couple of entry points to your numeric edit class, ’CMyEdit::Increment()’ and ’CMyEdit::Decrement()’, say, then in your CIncrementButton and CDecrementButton classes hold a pointer to a CMyEdit so that they can implement OnOK() handlers that call the relevant member functons in CMyEdit. This is fractionally better, but still not at all nice. What I’d like is to be able to create a general purpose button, that, er, well, ’clicks’ when you click it, and an edit box that can be directed to do a variety of things remotely, such as increment, decrement, copy to clipboard, go back to zero, etc. The edit box shouldn’t need to care what is calling it. Just as importantly, buttons shouldn’t have to care what they are calling either, so the same, unmodified button class can be used to increment, decrement or clear the control this afternoon, and next week end up wired to my internet compliant remote garage door opener. Or whatever. But the important thing is that only the user of the classes should need to know (or care) how they are wired up - the classes themselves, to be genuinely reusable, should be above that kind of thing.
Speaking as an ex-hardware designer, I’d like software components to have pins around their edges, like ICs, so they can be ’wired up’, but otherwise should be well behaved. To design a board with, say, an 8 bit microcontroller on it is made much easier by knowing that pin 34 is always Chip Enable (or something). I don’t want to know how that pin is wired internally - I just want to know that it will work when I send a signal into it.Credit where credit’s due: Qt
The Qt library (see http://www.troll.no/ for further information) was the first attempt I personally ever saw at extending C++ by adding a ’signal-slot’ metaphor to the language’s existing repertoire of programming techniques.
Qt was a revelation to me when I started using it, which must be something like three years ago at the time of writing. For once, I could write code relatively quickly, with a reasonable chance of it actually working the way I intended it without the days of pushing water uphill with a fork that was usually required to breathe life into MFC applications. The thing that impressed me most about Qt was its signal/slot metaphor. Qt uses a preprocessor, moc, to preprocess an extended C++ syntax. Put briefly, any Qt class can possess one or more signals, and one or more slots. A slot is very much like an ordinary member function. Indeed, slots can be called directly as member functions, with the only syntactic difference being the need for the slotskeyword in the class header file. A signal in Qt is declared much like a member function, except that it has no local implementation - it just appears like a member function prototype in the header file. Signals can be connected, using the connect function, with any number of slots in any other C++ objects. When a signal is emitted, using the new keyword emit, all connected slots get called.
In principle, signals and slots are a bit like pointers, where a signal can be ’wired up’ after the fact to the slots that need to be informed whenever it is emitted. Using pointers, be they function pointers, pointers to classes or pointers to class member functions, does have its own risks, of course. There are no guarantees, given such a pointer, that using it is safe - it is always necessary for the programmer to know, given the context of its use, that it is safe. Most programmers get this right nearly all of the time, of course. But when we get it wrong, our code goes horrendously bang, usually five minutes before a demo to the visiting CEO of your biggest client. I always tend to favour situations where the programming language picks up automatically on that kind of thing.
Signals and slots, in my opinion, have three major advantages over pointers:
Syntactically Neater. Signals & slots make for very readable code. You define your signals. You define your slots. You wire them up. That’s it, and no surprises.
Inherently Robust. This is the neat part: when either end of a signal/slot connection is destroyed, the connection is automatically removed. It is therefore impossible to emit a signal and have it arrive at a class that has already been deleted. Best of all, you don’t need to write any explicit cleanup code - if the caller goes out of scope, no problem. If the callee goes out of scope, no problem either.
Easier code reuse. Since the thing that has to type-agree is the signal and the slot, not the whole class interface, it is much easier to plug together disparate classes that had never initially been intended to work in that way. (Take it from me - I’ve done this in anger, and it really does make a difference)
I really like Qt. I think the people at TrollTech in Norway have done a brilliant job - their class library is far and away the best GUI library I’ve ever used (though the .NET framework actually comes remarkably close, but enough flame bait for one article).More credit where more credit’s due: Boost, GTK and James Slaughter
When I was working at Trayport in London, a coworker there, James Slaughter, got me interested in the Boost libraries, and was largely responsible for reawakening my interest in C++ as a programming language with real promise. Thank you James, if you’re reading this. (As an aside, I was previously getting very interested in Objective CaML, but that’s for another article at another time).
When I evangelised Qt within James’ earshot, he opined that Qt was pretty good, but he wasn’t keen on the moc preprocessor. Rightly enough, moc has a rather bad rep for mangling attempts to use templates in Qt-enabled classes, and it’s always irritating to need to hack build scripts to preprocess code. James did mention that type safe signal/slot functionality was possible in C++. I’d kind of thought about it myself, but hadn’t initially realised that it really was possible to do without something like moc.
I did a bit of a net search, and it seemed that a couple of people had put together C++ signal/slot libraries. One was in the pipeline for adoption by Boost (still is, at the time of writing). Another is due to the GTK bunch, as part of the GTK’s C++ wrapper. Both were a little heavyweight for my needs (writing MFC code whilst staying at least a bit sane), and neither looked like good candidates for a straightforward Windows port.

Bob Marley is a mythic figure, a man bigger than music. The best version I’ve seen of him is the one in Marlon James’ great 2014 novel A Brief History Of Seven Killings — a fictionalized account of Marley’s Jamaica built around an unnamed Marley-esque figure known only as the Singer. He’s a religious figure, an object of reverence. He survived an assassination attempt, brought together leaders of warring political factions, served as the public face for both reggae and Rastafarianism, and eventually became one of the highest-selling musicians of all time. For decades, he’s been an omnipresent face on dorm-room posters — a stoners’ Mao. I once went on a camping trip that turned tense when one of our number said that she didn’t like Bob Marley. The ensuing argument wasn’t even over Marley’s music; it was simply over whether it was OK to not like Bob Marley.
Most of Marley’s myth came into being after his death — 1981, skin cancer, 36 years old. During his lifetime, at least in the US, Bob Marley was not a pop star. He made records, and he was probably better-known than any other Jamaican reggae star, but he never really made a dent in the pop charts. Marley’s highest-charting single, 1976’s “Roots, Rock, Reggae,” only made it as high as #51. It’s the only Marley single that ever charted on the Hot 100. A Bob Marley song did, however, once make it to #1; it just wasn’t Marley singing it.
Like Bob Dylan or Bruce Springsteen, Marley only ever got to #1 because someone else covered one of his songs. But Dylan and Springsteen at least got to get as high as #2 on their own, and both of them also got to sing on “We Are The World,” which will eventually end up in this column. Marley wasn’t destined for either of those — though now that I think about it, there’s like a 60% chance he would’ve been on “We Are The World” if he hadn’t died young. And unlike Dylan or Springsteen, Marley had to suffer the indignity of a limp-ass Eric Clapton cover that commercially eclipsed everything he ever did.
Marley had started recording in Jamaica in 1962, but he was relatively new to the international scene when he made the original “I Shot The Sheriff” with the Wailers. Marley had traveled to the UK in 1972 with “I Can See Clearly Now” singer Johnny Nash, and he’d gotten himself signed to Island Records. (Jimmy Cliff, previously the label’s signature reggae star, had just left.) Marley and the Wailers became the first reggae stars to record in top-flight rock studios, and their second album for the label, 1973’s Burnin’, was the one that featured “I Shot The Sheriff.”
“I Shot The Sheriff” is a story-song, sung from the perspective of an outlaw who claims that he’d killed a sheriff in self-defense but that he did not kill the dep-u-ty. On face value, it’s a regretful Old West shoot-’em-up, a bit like Marty Robbins’ 14-years-earlier chart-topper “El Paso.” But because it’s Bob Marley, there’s more going on. In later years, Marley spoke expansively about the song’s meaning. In one interview, he claimed that the song was a stand-in for “wickedness”: “That’s not really a sheriff, it’s the elements of wickedness. The elements of that song is people been judging you and you can’t stand it no more and you explode, you just explode.” In another, he said that he really wanted the song to just straight-up be about killing cops: “I want to say ‘I shot the police’ but the government would have made a fuss so I said ‘I shot the sheriff’ instead. But it’s the same idea: justice.”
There’s another possibility. Decades after Marley’s death, the Jamaican actress and filmmaker Ester Anderson, who had once been Marley’s girlfriend, claimed that the song was about birth control. In her 2012 documentary Bob Marley: Making Of A Legend, Anderson said that she’d been on birth control pills and that Marley hated the pills, thinking they were killing his babies. In this version, the sheriff is a stand-in for the doctor who kept prescribing her the pill: “Every time I plant a seed/ He said kill it before it grow.” So maybe “(You’re) Having My Baby” and “I Shot The Sheriff” were two back-to-back #1 singles that both made oblique reference to birth control.
In any case, Eric Clapton presumably knew none of this. After his version of “I Shot The Sheriff” hit, Clapton talked to Marley about the song. In his autobiography, Clapton wrote, “I tried to ask [Marley] what the song was all about, but couldn’t understand much of his reply.” Clapton had been reluctant to record a version of the song. George Terry, a guitarist in his group, had brought Clapton the song, and his bandmates had convinced him to record it. I Shot The Sheriff Eric Clapton Backing Track
By 1974, Clapton was a firmly established guitar hero, but he was only just getting started as a solo artist. A legitimately fascinating figure, Clapton was the son of a 16-year-old mother and an absent father, a Canadian soldier, who went off to fight in World War II before Clapton was born. He grew up thinking that his mother was his sister and that his grandparents were his parents. A guitar prodigy, Clapton had dropped out of high school and started busking with acoustic guitars around London as a teenager before joining his first band.
Over the next decade, Clapton played in a ton of different bands, plenty of which had chart success on both sides of the Atlantic: the Yardbirds, John Mayall And The Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek And The Dominoes. (The Yardbirds’ highest-charting single was 1965’s “For Your Love,” which peaked at #6. It’s an 8. Cream’s highest-charting single was 1968’s “Sunshine Of Your Love,” which peaked at #5. It’s a 9.) Clapton had also sung backup on the Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love” and played on George Harrison’s “My Sweet Lord.” And then there was the matter of people writing graffiti koans that Clapton was God. Point is: He was a known quantity. Even so, he only has one American #1, and that’s “I Shot The Sheriff.”
Before 1974’s 461 Ocean Boulevard, the album that featured “I Shot The Sheriff,” Clapton had only released one solo album, a 1970 self-titled affair. 461 Ocean Boulevard came out of a tumultuous time for Clapton. He was in the process of kicking heroin. He was also in the process of moving in with his friend George Harrison’s wife Pattie Boyd, whom he’d been publicly pursuing for years. And he was shattered by the deaths of Jimi Hendrix and Duane Allman, his friends and peers. And yet 461 Ocean Boulevard is a relentlessly, almost tryingly mellow album — a record that effectively transforms blues-rock into a sleepy noodle-shuffle.
Even in its original form, “I Shot The Sheriff” had been a concession — an artifact of the period that Marley and the Wailers had tried to court mainstream (or, I guess, white) fans by fusing their reggae with expansive ’70s rock sonics. With his take, Clapton takes that tendency and pushes it much, much further. Clapton’s “I Shot The Sheriff” is only reggae in the vaguest, most forgiving sense of the word. Instead, Clapton takes this song and turns it into gooey proto-yacht-rock mush, a lazy swirl of organs and pianos and aimless soloing. Orchestrators use Connectors to integrate with authentication and attribute providers. In this case, this Orchestrators App Gateway uses the Azure AD B2C connector as both an authentication and attribute provider. Azure AD B2C uses the social IdP for authentication and then acts as an attribute provider to the Orchestrator, passing attributes in claims set in HTTP headers.
This Connector’s configuration corresponds to the app registered in the Azure AD B2C tenant.

Give your Connector a name, shown here as azureADB2C, and set the connector type to be azure. Take note of the Connector name as this value is used in other configuration parameters below.

The Orchestrator’s App Gateway configuration declares how Azure AD B2C should protect your application and how users should access the app.

Create a name for your App gateway. You can use a friendly name or fully qualified hostname as an identifier for your app.

Set the location. The example here uses the app’s root /, however, can be any URL path of your application.

Define the protected application in upstream using the host:port convention: https://example.com:8080.

Set the values for error and unauthorized pages.

Define the HTTP header names and attribute values that must be provided to the application to establish authentication and control access to the app. Header names are arbitrary and typically correspond to the configuration of the app. Attribute values are namespaced by the Connector that supplies them. In the example below, the values returned from Azure AD B2C are prefixed with the Connector name azureADB2C where the suffix is the name of the attribute that contains the required value, for example given_name.

Set the policies to be evaluated and enforced. Three actions are defined: allowUnauthenticated, allowAnyAuthenticated, and allowIfAny. Each action is associated to a resource and the policy is evaluated for that resource.

Follow the instructions to create a new Key Vault that your Orchestrator instance will use as a secrets provider. Add your secrets to your vault and take note of the SECRET NAME given to each secret. For example, AzureADB2CClientSecret.
To declare a value as a secret in a maverics.yaml config file, wrap the secret with angle brackets:
The value specified within the angle brackets must correspond to the SECRET NAME given to secret in your Azure Key Vault.

Edit: I updated the BIOS to the installed BTW because Lenovo pulled System Update.. change the volume and brightness, and Fn + space (fullscreen magnifier) doesn’t do anything. The driver installer shows both the OSD driver and the magnifier driver why they did that. Everything seems to be fixed. My W500 does not show status overlays when I as being installed. This is a fresh install of Vista Business x64 SP1.

So I went into standby and the whole laptop did not react to the touchpad with the hotkey it did still not work. log in again for it to be re-enabled. I updated a hotkey driver, and afterwards when I disabled two issues, but they may be connected. I needed to go to standby and then me pressing the standby/on switch on the right side for like 5 min. Note that, among these places, several counties appear more than once because they had multiple listings for $10,000 or less. Mohave County, Arizona, has the most listings of any county on the list at seven. Arizona also has more listings — 14 — than any other state.
